Travel

By Air

Bradley International Airport (BDL), in Hartford, CT, is the closest international airport to New Haven. From there, shuttle transport, Uber, or taxi can be taken to New Haven south along I-91, taking approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour in non-peak traffic.

Air travel to LaGuardia (LGA) or JFK in New York City can also be a cheaper option, at least in terms of airfare. However, travel to New Haven from here will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours along  I-95 depending on traffic conditions in New York.

By Bus

New Haven is easily accessible by most bus companies, arriving at New Haven Union Station. Union Station is located downtown, approximately seven to ten minutes' drive to Yale University campus.

By Train

Amtrak and regional train lines across much of New England stop at Union Station in downtown New Haven, approximately seven to ten minutes' drive to Yale University campus.

By Car (direct to Conference)

From the Northeast or Southwest on Interstate 95:

Take Exit 47 for Downtown/New Haven. Continue straight onto the Oak Street Connector. Turn right onto Church Street. After three blocks, turn left onto Chapel Street. Make a right at the third traffic light onto High Street. Pass under the archway - Linsly Chittenden Hall will be the first building on the right.

From the North on Interstate 91:

Take Exit 1 for Martin Luther King Blvd/Downtown/New Haven. Continue straight onto the Oak Street Connector. Turn right onto Church Street. After three blocks, turn left onto Chapel Street. Make a right at the third traffic light onto High Street. Pass under the archway - Linsly Chittenden Hall will be the first building on the right.

Parking:

Street parking is limited on-campus to one- or two-hour limits, at $1.50 an hour. Payment is usually accepted by card or change, but some older meters exist that only accept change. A Park New Haven app is also advertised at many meters, and can be downloaded for free to pay for parking meters with digital readouts.

Covered parking garages are available at all three hotels listed above, included with reservations.

Parking garages with all-day rates are also available at 255 Crown Street, 150 York Street, and 330 George Street.
